Trump to Send 1,500 Troops, Planes, Helicopters to Border

More than 1,500 troops, planes and helicopters are being sent to the southern U.S.-Mexico border. Donald Trump’s administration has taken this step as part of the process of deporting illegal immigrants to their home country. Meanwhile, President Trump has declared a state of emergency on the southern border.

According to a senior US military official, 1,000 members of the Army and 500 Marines will be sent to San Diego, California, and El Paso, Texas.

Two military C-17s, two C-130s and helicopters are also being sent to the Mexican border. Acting U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Salasses said the Department of Defense would provide military aircraft to help deport more than 5,000 illegal immigrants from the United States.

According to CNN, the Trump administration has instructed the military to be ready to deploy a maximum of 10,000 troops to the US border. About 2,200 soldiers are already deployed on the country’s southern border. They mainly assist U.S. Customs and Border Patrol forces.
Soon after taking office on Monday, Trump issued an executive order declaring a state of emergency on the US-Mexico border. The order paved the way for the deployment of military forces there. Since the election campaign last year, Trump has said that he will take action on the day he takes office to expel illegal immigrants from the United States.

On Wednesday, President Trump signed an executive order on illegal immigration. In the order, he ordered the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take all necessary steps to expel illegal immigrants from the southern border.

White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt was asked about the order on Wednesday. In response, Levitt said the news of Trump’s new executive order is true. He also confirmed that an additional 1,500 troops had been sent to the southern border.

The White House press secretary told reporters that Trump’s priority is to deport illegal immigrants from the United States. Those who are thinking of coming to the border to enter the United States are also refused. “You will be sent home, arrested, prosecuted,” he said, referring to the migrants. Don’t come (to the US). ’
