Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang to Announce 97th Oscars Nominations

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that actor-writer-comedians Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang will reveal the nominations for the 97th Oscars®. The live presentation will take place on Thursday, January 23, from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California, starting at 5:30 a.m. PST.

The nominations will be announced across all 23 Academy Award categories, including key categories such as Actor in a Supporting Role, Actress in a Supporting Role, Animated Short Film, Costume Design, Live Action Short Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Writing (Adapted Screenplay), and Writing (Original Screenplay).

The announcement will be broadcast live globally on Oscar.com, Oscars.org, and the Academy’s digital platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. It will also air on national broadcast news outlets like ABC’s Good Morning America, and will be available for streaming on ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu.

Fans and industry insiders can tune in to catch all the updates as the Academy sets the stage for Hollywood’s biggest night.
