Kid Rock has reflected on the changing atmosphere in both Washington, D.C. and Hollywood, noting a growing embrace of former President Donald Trump among celebrities. Speaking on Fox & Friends Weekend, Kid Rock highlighted the shift in Hollywood’s stance, saying that support for Trump is becoming more visible and less hesitant.
He remarked, “Now they feel it’s safe to go in the water after dipping their toe in it for four to eight years. I mean, welcome to the party, like I’ve said. Better to have them on board than not.” The rockstar, who performed at Trump’s MAGA Victory Rally on Sunday, expressed optimism about the future, referencing a sense of unity and renewal he felt during the event.
Kid Rock further described the rally as a reflection of the unity Trump supporters feel, recalling a sense of togetherness at a UFC fight after the election. He stated, “It felt like that at the UFC fight after the election, everybody was together, you know, walking to the ring.”
In his interview, Kid Rock observed that Hollywood has now fully embraced Trump as the leader of the country, noting that the celebrity world had been cautious at first but is now more open in showing support. He added, “There’s just this overwhelming sense … you’ve heard it a million times, that America’s back.”
Kid Rock also shared his belief that, despite differing political views, Americans can come together as reasonable people. “It’s OK … we think differently on a lot of things, but if you’re a reasonable person, and I really got to stress ‘reasonable,’ because Lord knows there are some fruitcakes out there,” he said.
With growing support from public figures like Kid Rock, Hollywood’s stance on Trump is seeing a notable change, marking a shift that could have lasting political and cultural implications.
