Mbappe Was Jealous Of Messi, Claims Neymar

Brazil’s star forward said that the French club PSG often suffered from the performance of the field due to ego.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe initially developed a close relationship at PSG. But after Lionel Messi joined the French club, there was a ‘bit of a rift’ in their relationship. The Brazilian star forward claims that Mbappe was jealous of Messi.

Mbappe moved to PSG from Monaco in 2017. In the same year, Neymar joined the French club from Barcelona, setting a world record transfer fee in football history.

PSG signed ‘free agent’ Messi in 2021 when Barcelona was in financial trouble. Since then, Mbappe’s behavior has started to change.

Neymar recently spoke on a podcast with World Cup winner Brazilian great Romario, which was published on Thursday. There, Romario asked if Mbappe was annoying, in response to which Neymar highlighted this.

“No, he wasn’t like that. I had some issues with him, a little bit of a disagreement. But he was our foundation, I used to call him the Golden Boy. I always played with him. I told him he would be one of the best in the world. I was always helping him, talking to him a lot, he would come to my house, we would have dinner together. ”

“We’ve had a good few years together. But after Messi came, he became a little jealous… We fight, his behavior changes. ”

PSG could not win the Champions League even with the most dangerous attack in the world of football, made up of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. Neymar has blamed the ego created in the team behind this. However, he did not name anyone in this case.

“It’s good to have an ego; But you have to understand that you can’t play alone. You’ll need someone next to you. There was ego almost everywhere [in the team], nothing could go right that way. If no one runs and no one helps, it’s impossible to win anything. ”

None of those three are at PSG anymore. Messi is now playing for Inter Miami in the United States. Mbappe has joined his dream club Real Madrid before the start of this season. And Neymar has moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.
