2-5 to 5-2: How Real Turned Around

2-5 to 5-2 – This is the journey of Real Madrid from the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday night to the Copa del Rey match last night. Madrid’s club lost to Celta Vigo in the last sixteen of the Copa del Rey by the same margin that Real flew to Barcelona in the Super Cup final.

Although the result of the game looks the same, there is a lot of difference between the two matches. Real could not win the way Barca dominated and won. They had to play for 120 minutes to win 5-2 in the ups and downs.

After losing the Super Cup title against Barcelona, yesterday’s match was very important for Real. Kylian Mbappe gave Real Madrid the lead in the first half at the Santiago Bernabeu. After the break, Vinicius Junior doubled the gap in the 48th minute. After going ahead by two goals, Real’s easy win was predictable.

Everything was in favor of Real until the 82nd minute of the match. But Pasha’s donation began to reverse from the next minute. Jonathan Bamba scored to make it 2-1. Marcos Alonso then stunned Bernabeu with a penalty in the added time. After returning to 2-2 goals, the match went into extra time. The 30 minutes of the match, however, were occupied by Real. In the 108th minute, Endrik scored a great goal to give Real a 3-2 lead.

Three minutes later, Fede Valverde snatched the match from Celta by 4-2 with an incredible shot from outside the box. And before the last flute market, Endrick made the difference 5-2 with a great backheel finish. As a result, the Brazilian striker made the record of scoring two goals in extra time as the fifth player of Real.

“When the game was almost over, we conceded two goals and the game was open,” Real coach Carlo Ancelotti said. We played well for 70 minutes. We scored the third goal, even though it was offside. But the way the team reacted in extra time was great. In the end, of course, everything went well.
