Brazil Can’t Win World Cup Without Neymar, Says Romario

Brazil is going through one of the worst times in their football history. They can not leave behind the journey of failure that started with the Qatar World Cup. In the meantime, the date of the 2026 World Cup has started to come forward.

As a month, the World Cup is now 18 years away. But so far there is no sign of Brazil’s turnaround. The team is now ranked No. 5 in the South American zone of World Cup qualifying.

In addition to the team’s poor performance, Brazil has suffered from Neymar’s injury for a long time. Now, however, Neymar is waiting to return to the field after recovering from injury. The 32-year-old forward said in an interview a few days ago that he is looking forward to playing in the 2026 World Cup. Neymar also said that this is his last World Cup.

Although his desire to play another World Cup does not seem special to some. Despite playing three World Cups before 30, who could not bring the trophy to the team, they doubt how much they can cross 30 at this time of injury.

However, Brazil’s legendary footballer Romario sees the need for Neymar in a different way. According to the hero of the 1994 World Cup, only Neymar can bring the title to Brazil. The former footballer also thinks that the country has no chance of winning the World Cup without Neymar.
“Brazil has a chance to win the 2026 World Cup with Neymar alone,” Romario said on a Brazilian podcast called Charla. The team cannot win the World Cup without him. ’

“Brazil won with Garrincha in 1962, Pele in 1970, Romario in 1994 and Ronaldo in 2002. If they play without Neymar in 2026, they can’t win. ’

Neymar, however, has no reason not to be in the Brazil team. But the injury did not leave him behind from the beginning of his career. Now at the end of his career, it is a matter of seeing whether Neymar can play in the World Cup without injury.
