Two US Soldiers Killed in Military Helicopter Crash in Texas

Texas , 13 August – Two U.S. soldiers were killed after a military helicopter crashed in Texas on Wednesday, August 12, local time.

Fort Hood said in a statement that an Apache attack helicopter crashed in the Salado area of Texas. Both soldiers aboard the aircraft died in the accident.

Following the crash, Fort Hood personnel remained at the scene and coordinated with local emergency response agencies, according to the statement.

Military authorities have not provided details about what operation or activity the helicopter was conducting when it crashed. The cause of the accident has also not been disclosed.

The identities of the two soldiers were not immediately released. Fort Hood officials said their names would be made public after their families had been notified.

The crash comes about two months after a U.S. Air Force B-52 bomber crashed in California. All eight people aboard that aircraft were killed in that incident.
