In a thrilling night of 2026 FIFA World Cup action, Ousmane Dembélé stole the spotlight with a stunning hat-trick to guide France national football team to a dominant 4-1 victory over Norway national football team at Boston Stadium.

Dembélé found the net in the 7th, 20th, and 32nd minutes, completing his hat-trick in just 25 minutes — the second-fastest in World Cup history, only behind Erich Probst’s 24-minute feat in 1954.

Kylian Mbappé assisted the first two goals, while Aurélien Tchouaméni set up the third. Norway briefly fought back when Thelo Aasgaard scored in the 21st minute from an assist by Andreas Schjelderup, making it 3-1 at halftime.

France sealed the win deep into stoppage time when Désiré Doué scored the fourth goal in the 90+4th minute, assisted by Bradley Barcola. Despite Norway’s defeat, France had already secured their place in the knockout round and used the match to maintain momentum.

Meanwhile, at BMO Field in Toronto, Senegal national football team delivered a ruthless 5-0 victory over Iraq national football team.

Senegal took the lead in just the 4th minute through Habib Diarra, assisted by Abdoulaye Seck. Iraq’s hopes faded early after defender Rebin Sulaka was sent off, leaving his side with ten men.

Senegal capitalized on the numerical advantage, with Ismaïla Sarr adding one goal, Pape Gueye scoring twice, and Iliman Ndiaye completing the rout in stoppage time.

The heavy defeat ends Iraq’s World Cup journey after back-to-back losses, while Senegal’s emphatic win keeps their hopes alive, with qualification now depending on results elsewhere.
