Chennai, May 10, 2026 — Actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday during a grand ceremony held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
The oath-taking event witnessed a festive atmosphere as thousands of supporters gathered at the venue, chanting slogans and celebrating the rise of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader to the state’s top political office.
