Three Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested in Kuwait on allegations of robbery, according to the country’s Ministry of Interior. The arrests took place in the Farwaniya area following an investigation into a series of thefts targeting bus passengers.
Authorities stated that the three suspects were part of a gang that carried out robberies at different locations, primarily focusing on individuals using public transportation. The case came to light after a ticket inspector working for a public transport company filed a formal complaint, reporting a rise in such incidents on buses.
Following the complaint, security forces launched an operation and placed the suspects under surveillance. After gathering sufficient evidence, police officers in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh apprehended the three individuals.
During the arrest, officials recovered 333 Kuwaiti dinars, which are believed to be proceeds from the alleged robberies. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to determine the full extent of the group’s activities.
