The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has deployed a significant military force in the Middle East, including 12 warships, approximately 100 aircraft, and more than 10,000 troops, to enforce an ongoing blockade targeting Iran’s ports and coastal areas.

According to CENTCOM, the operation has already compelled at least 14 vessels to retreat and comply with the blockade measures. The deployment marks a sharp escalation in the ongoing standoff in the region.

Officials clarified that the blockade does not extend to the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz. Instead, the focus remains strictly on Iranian ports and nearby coastal zones.

The move comes amid heightened tensions linked to the broader Iran-Israel conflict and growing military posturing in the Middle East. Regional and global stakeholders are closely monitoring the situation, as concerns rise over potential disruptions to maritime trade and energy supplies.
Further developments are expected as diplomatic efforts and military activities continue to unfold
