Iran Launches Missile and Drone Attacks on Saudi Arabia and UAE

Iran has launched missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, further escalating tensions in the Middle East amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Defense, four drones were intercepted and destroyed over the capital city, Riyadh, on Sunday before they could reach their intended targets. Authorities said the attacks were successfully neutralized by Saudi air defense systems.

Since the war between Iran, the United States, and Israel began on February 28, Saudi Arabia has repeatedly faced drone and missile attacks allegedly launched by Iranian forces. Key targets have reportedly included critical energy infrastructure, locations linked to U.S. interests, military installations, and populated areas.

The attacks have so far resulted in at least two deaths and injured 12 people in Saudi Arabia, according to officials.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for a separate strike on the Al-Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates. The base hosts U.S. military personnel. The IRGC said it fired 10 missiles and an unspecified number of drones targeting American forces stationed there.

In Israel, more than 100 people were injured over the past 24 hours amid the continuing conflict. Israeli media, citing the country’s Ministry of Health, reported that 108 people were admitted to hospitals during this period.

Authorities did not provide detailed information about the exact causes of the injuries. However, some people were reportedly hurt by missiles launched from Iran or rockets fired from Lebanon, while others were injured during the rush to reach shelters.

According to the Israeli Health Ministry, a total of 3,195 people have been hospitalized since the conflict began on February 28. Among them, 81 individuals are currently receiving treatment.
