Trump Says ‘Nothing Left to Strike’ in Iran, War May End Soon

US president claims military campaign has exceeded expectations and could conclude earlier than planned

Washington, March 11 — US President Donald Trump has said there are virtually no remaining targets left to strike in Iran and suggested that the ongoing war could end very soon.

In a brief telephone interview with the US news outlet Axios on Wednesday, Trump said the military campaign against Iran had already inflicted greater damage than initially anticipated.

“Practically, there is nothing left to target in Iran,” Trump said, adding that only a few minor targets might still remain. “Whenever I want it to end, it will end,” he remarked.
The US president noted that the original military plan envisioned a six-week campaign.

However, he claimed that operations were progressing much faster than expected.
“The war is going very well. We are far ahead of schedule,” Trump said. “We have caused far more damage than we thought possible within the initial six-week plan.”

Trump also accused Iran of threatening not only the United States and Israel but also attempting to establish control over the broader Middle East.

According to the US president, Iran is now facing the consequences of decades of actions in the region. “For 47 years they have caused death and destruction, and now they are paying the price,” he said.

The remarks come amid escalating tensions and military confrontations involving the United States and Iran, raising concerns about wider instability across the Middle East.
