FIFA President Added to Ukraine’s ‘Kill List’

Ukraine-based website Myrotvorets accuses Gianni Infantino of supporting Russia and spreading propaganda amid the ongoing war

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has been added to Ukraine’s controversial “kill list,” according to reports citing the Ukrainian website Myrotvorets.
The website, which describes itself as documenting individuals considered “enemies of Ukraine,” accused the FIFA chief of providing “systematic support and cooperation” with Russia and of contributing to what it termed “humanitarian and civilian aggression” against Ukraine. It also alleged that Infantino has helped spread Russian propaganda.
Myrotvorets is known for publishing personal details of individuals it labels as threats to Ukraine’s national security. Although not officially operated by the Ukrainian government, the site has previously drawn international criticism for targeting foreign politicians, journalists, and public figures.
The listing references Infantino’s receipt of Russia’s Order of Friendship in 2019, an award granted by Russian President Vladimir Putin for strengthening relations between nations.
Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, FIFA and UEFA banned Russian national teams and clubs from international competitions, including the World Cup. However, Infantino recently told media outlets that the exclusion had not improved football globally and instead fueled “frustration and hatred” within the international football community.
Those comments triggered strong backlash from Ukrainian officials. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha criticized Infantino, describing his remarks as a sign of “moral deviation.”
The controversy adds to growing tension between Ukraine and international sports bodies over the future of Russian participation in global sporting events.
