Indian Assets in Bangladesh Fully Safe: Army Chief Waker

Bangladesh Army Chief reassures Indian counterpart that all Indian properties and installations remain secure despite rising political and social tensions.

Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman has assured his Indian counterpart that all Indian assets and installations in Bangladesh are completely safe. This statement comes amid increasing political and social unrest in the country and is being seen as an important message from Dhaka.

According to reports, both countries’ armies maintain regular and direct communication, particularly following heightened instability after the death of the staunchly anti-India student leader Sharif Osman Hadi.

Indian security sources have described this military-level coordination as a crucial reassurance during the current turbulent situation. It underscores that despite complex ground-level developments, the two armies continue to keep open channels of communication, preventing any breakdown in security collaboration.

The message from Bangladesh is clear: while political tensions may exist, the military link between Delhi and Dhaka remains active, ensuring the protection of Indian personnel, properties, and overall stability in bilateral relations.
