Netanyahu to Present New Iran Strike Proposal to Trump During US Visit

Israeli prime minister is expected to discuss fresh military options against Iran amid concerns over Tehran’s missile and nuclear activities, according to US media reports.

Dhaka, December, 2025 —

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to present a new plan for potential military action against Iran during an upcoming visit to the United States, according to a report by NBC News.

Citing multiple US and Israeli officials, the report said Netanyahu is concerned that Iran has not only rebuilt but also expanded its ballistic missile production capabilities following the 12-day conflict in June. During that conflict, the United States and Israel reportedly carried out strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, causing significant damage.

Sources told NBC News that while Israel has long described Iran’s nuclear program as an existential threat, Israeli officials are currently more alarmed by Iran’s growing missile capabilities. One source said that although Iran is attempting to restore its nuclear enrichment program, the missile threat is more immediate and tangible.

“The nuclear threat is serious, but the missile threat is very real,” the source said, noting that Iran’s missile attacks could not be fully intercepted during the last conflict.
Netanyahu and former US President Donald Trump are expected to meet next week at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. Responding to the NBC report, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said Trump has maintained a firm stance on Iran, warning that any attempt by Tehran to develop nuclear weapons would prompt immediate action.

“President Trump has said that if Iran moves toward building a nuclear weapon, those sites will be struck—well before they come close to completing such a weapon,” she said.
