Awami League Stages Flash Procession in Dhaka

Police Attempt to Identify Participants; Unexploded Bomb Recovered in Mohammadpur

A wing of the Awami League organized a flash procession in Mohammadpur, a neighborhood in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka.

Around 7:30 a.m. on Friday (28 November), a small group suddenly brought out the procession.

Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Rafique Ahmed said that around 7 a.m., five to six people marched with a banner. Before police reached the spot, the participants had dispersed. Efforts are underway to identify them and bring them under the law.

Meanwhile, around 1:30 p.m., police recovered an unexploded crude bomb (cocktail) from Babar Road.

Regarding the incident, the OC said, “An unexploded cocktail wrapped in red cloth was recovered on Babar Road in Mohammadpur. The bomb disposal unit later arrived and neutralized it.”
