“Sheikh Hasina Calls for Nationwide Movement Until Yunus Steps Down”

Sheikh Hasuna urges citizens to make tomorrow’s program a turning point in the final phase of the movement.

Bangladesh Awami League President and exiled Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called for a continuous, nationwide movement until the fall of the current government.

In an audio message on 12 November 2025, she made a clear declaration, “I am urging everyone to continue this movement until Yunus is brought down.”

In her message, Sheikh Hasina described the current administration as *“fascist”* and accused it of conducting widespread repression across the country. She stated, “We must remove the fascist Yunus from power, recover weapons from terrorists and extremists, and restore peace and security to people’s lives.”

The Awami League chief alleged that her party leaders and activists have been subjected to torture, abductions, and killings.

“From the grassroots up, homes and businesses of Awami League leaders have been burned and destroyed,” she said, adding that, “The entire country has turned into a prison—an execution ground.”

Hasina also strongly criticized the interference in state institutions, particularly the armed forces and the police, claiming that members responsible for protecting the nation’s sovereignty were being demoralized through false charges.

Concluding her message, Sheikh Hasina demanded the release of all political prisoners, the withdrawal of cases against party activists, and the assurance of citizens’ safety. She urged people from all walks of life to unite and make *“tomorrow’s program”* a success, marking what she described as the decisive stage of the movement.
