US President Extends Warm Wishes to Americans Celebrating Diwali

The President described Diwali as a reminder of light’s triumph over darkness and a celebration of hope, renewal, and community.

Washington, D.C., October 20, 2025 — The President of the United States has extended his greetings to millions of Americans celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights, emphasizing the occasion’s deeper meaning of hope and the victory of good over evil.

In an official statement issued by the White House, the President said, “Today, I send my best wishes to every American celebrating Diwali—the ‘Festival of Lights.’ For many Americans, Diwali is a timeless reminder of light’s victory over darkness. He added that as millions light diyas and lanterns across the country, “we rejoice in the eternal truth that good will always triumph over evil.”

Concluding his message, the President wished all celebrants serenity, prosperity, hope, and peace.
