Stopped 7 Wars Including India-Pakistan, I Deserve a Nobel: Trump

Speaking at the American Cornerstone Institute’s Founders Dinner on Saturday, President Trump said,“We are now earning respect on the world stage by doing things that were never done before. We are making peace deals, stopping wars. We stopped the war between India and Pakistan, we stopped the war between Thailand and Cambodia.”

US President Donald Trump has said that he stopped the conflict between India and Pakistan through trade. He further claimed credit for stopping seven wars worldwide and said that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for it.

According to him, he deserves a separate Nobel Prize for each of the seven wars he stopped. This information was reported by Indian media outlet NDTV on Sunday (September 21).

He also said, “Just think about the conflict between India and Pakistan for a moment. Do you know how I stopped it? Through trade. They want to trade. I deeply respect both countries’ leaders. But just look at how many wars we stopped— India-Pakistan, Thailand-Cambodia, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Kosovo-Serbia, Israel-Iran, Egypt-Ethiopia, Rwanda-Congo. Altogether, 60% of wars have stopped because of trade.”

Trump added, “As I told India, if you go to war, there will be no trade. And remember, they have nuclear weapons. After that, they stopped.”

The Republican president also said that many people have told him that if he can stop the Russia-Ukraine war, he will receive the Nobel Prize. In response, he said,“I ask, what about the other seven? I should get a separate Nobel for each one. They said I might get it if I stop the Russia-Ukraine war. I told them— I already stopped seven wars, this is just one— though it is a big one.”

Regarding Russia-Ukraine, Trump said he thought solving that conflict would be the easiest because of his good relationship with President Putin, but he was disappointed. However, he expressed hope that this war, too, will end one way or another.
