Melania Trump Highlights Children’s Well-Being on Second Day of U.K. State Visit

London, September 18, 2025 — First Lady Melania Trump wrapped up the second day of the Trump Administration’s state visit to the United Kingdom with a series of events focused on children, families, and community engagement — the core values of her BE BEST initiative.

In Windsor, Mrs. Trump joined Queen Camilla for a tour of Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Royal Library at Windsor Castle. The pair viewed historic works from the Royal Collection before meeting with schoolchildren who were designing their own miniature books. Each child received a gift bag with White House honey, a commemorative tag, and a challenge coin from the First Lady.

Later, at Frogmore House & Gardens, Mrs. Trump met the Princess of Wales and U.K. Chief Scout Dwayne Fields for an outdoor program with the Squirrel Scouts. Together, they participated in leaf stamping and bug house building activities before presenting the children with their “Go Wild” badges. Each scout also received a gift package including White House honey and a red, white, and blue Scouting America neckerchief.

In the afternoon, the First Lady traveled to Chequers Court for a private lunch with Lady Starmer. Following lunch, she attended a special display by the “Red Devils,” the British Army’s elite parachute regiment.

Mrs. Trump concluded the day by attending President Donald Trump’s joint press conference with Prime Minister Keir Starmer before departing the United Kingdom.

The events underscored the administration’s continued focus on youth development, creativity, and international collaboration on child welfare initiatives.
