Israel Six Countries in Just 72 Hours

At least six people were killed in a strike in Qatar, including the son of senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, his office director, three bodyguards, and a Qatari security officer. Top Hamas leaders reportedly survived.

In just three days, Israel has launched strikes on Qatar, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, and Palestine, marking a sharp escalation in the conflict. In Gaza alone, Israeli bombardments have killed at least 150 people and injured more than 540, according to Al Jazeera.

On Tuesday, Israeli jets carried out an airstrike targeting a Hamas leadership meeting in Doha, Qatar. The meeting had been convened to discuss a U.S.-backed ceasefire proposal for Gaza.

The strike killed six people, including Khalil al-Hayya’s son, his office director, three bodyguards, and a Qatari security officer. Top Hamas leaders reportedly escaped unharmed. This is Israel’s sixth overseas strike in just 72 hours and its seventh since the beginning of the year.

Continuous Bombing in Gaza

Since Monday, Israeli airstrikes have devastated Gaza, killing 150 people and injuring hundreds. Monday alone saw 67 killed and 320 hospitalized, including 14 people killed while collecting aid and two children who reportedly died of starvation.

On Tuesday, another 83 people were killed and 223 injured. Israeli forces have been destroying high-rise buildings, infrastructure, and homes in Gaza City, leaving thousands homeless.

Since the war began in October 2023, 64,656 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, including 404 who died from hunger-related causes. Many remain missing under the rubble.

Ceasefire Violated in Lebanon

Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon’s Bekaa and Hermel districts killed at least five people on Monday. Israel claimed the strikes targeted Hezbollah arms depots, though this has not been independently verified.

Drone attacks continued Tuesday, injuring a Hezbollah member in Barja village, south of Beirut.

Heavy Strikes in Syria

On Monday night, Israeli fighter jets bombed an> airbase in Homs and a military barracks near Latakia, prompting Syria’s foreign ministry to accuse Israel of violating its sovereignty and threatening regional security.

Since Bashar al-Assad’s fall in December 2024, Israel has conducted hundreds of strikes in Syria, with nearly 100 this year alone, killing at least 61 people.

Attack off Tunisia’s Coast

A suspected Israeli drone struck the Family Boat, a Gaza aid flotilla vessel, at Tunisia’s Sidi Bou Said port on Monday night, causing a fire that was quickly contained.

The next night, a similar attack hit the UK-flagged Alma ship off Tunisia’s coast, sparking another fire but causing no casualties.

First-Ever Strike in Qatar

Explosions rocked Doha’s West Bay Lagoon area, where diplomatic missions, schools, and residential buildings are located. Hamas leaders have been based in Qatar at the request of the United States. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) base is located just 35 km away.

Airstrike in Yemen

On Wednesday, Israeli forces struck Houthi positions in Sanaa, damaging the city’s international airport. The site had already been targeted earlier this month.

On August 28, a similar strike killed Houthi Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi and several top officials.
