Ukrainian saboteurs have attacked a fuel-carrying train in Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia, in what pro-Ukrainian sources describe as a rare and highly coordinated operation.
Petro Andriushchenko of the Center for the Study of Occupation claimed on Telegram that everyone on board the train was killed. “Nothing alive was left,” he wrote.
According to him, Russian forces typically move fuel and military transports at night to minimize the risk of attack. “This time, the tactic failed. The train strike is a unique operation by Ukraine’s defense forces,” he added.
Photos shared online show several parts of the train engulfed in flames. Reports indicate that the train derailed after the strike, which occurred between Urozhaivka and Tokmak. The exact method of attack has not yet been confirmed.
Neither Kyiv nor Moscow has officially commented on the incident.
The strike site lies far from Ukrainian front-line positions and deep within Russian-held territory. Ukraine has previously demonstrated its ability to carry out large-scale covert operations in such areas—most notably in June, when it launched a 100-drone assault on multiple Russian bases, damaging dozens of aircraft.
