Russia Launches Massive Strike on Ukrainian Missile Factory

Russia has carried out a massive attack on a Ukrainian missile factory. Using missiles and drones, the strikes — conducted last July — also targeted several other military installations.

According to a report by Reuters on Thursday (August 14), Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that in July, its forces attacked multiple Ukrainian military facilities — including missile and rocket fuel production plants and weapons design centers — with missiles and drones.

In a statement issued Thursday, the ministry said that Western missile defense systems deployed to protect these factories — including Patriot launchers and fire-control radars — were destroyed in the Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions.

The statement further added, “The efforts of the Kyiv government and their Western partners to produce missiles for deep strikes inside Russia have been thwarted.”
