U.S. President Donald Trump has once again claimed he stopped the recent India-Pakistan war through trade negotiations, stating that both nations agreed to a U.S.-mediated ceasefire on May 10 after overnight talks.
Speaking on Truth Social, Trump said he halted multiple global conflicts, including the 31-year Congo-Rwanda war, and accused radio host Charlamagne tha God of ignoring his achievements.
In a separate Newsmax interview, Trump asserted he prevented a potential nuclear war between India and Pakistan, as well as other conflicts in Thailand-Cambodia and Israel-Iran. He said he used trade pressure to end wars, claiming, “No trade deals if you go to war.”
Trump recently imposed a 25% tariff on Indian goods and announced a trade agreement with Pakistan, lowering its tariff to 19% and pledging to help develop Pakistan’s oil sector.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt credited Trump with ending conflicts in at least six regions and called for him to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
