North Korea to Send 30,000 Troops to Russia

Last year, North Korea sent over 10,000 troops to fight for Russia against Ukraine. Now, the country is planning to triple that number, preparing to send an additional 25,000 to 30,000 troops to Russia. This information was obtained by Ukrainian intelligence.According to the intelligence reports, these troops could arrive in Russia within the next few months. In November 2024, 11,000 North Korean soldiers went to fight against Ukraine, engaging Ukrainian forces that had entered Russia’s Kursk region. As a result, Ukraine was forced to withdraw most of its troops from Kursk, and many Ukrainian soldiers were also killed.Western sources report that around 4,000 North Korean soldiers were wounded or killed while fighting in Kursk. However, both Pyongyang and Beijing have remained silent on the matter of sending troops to Russia.Ukrainian intelligence has shared new information with CNN, stating that North Korean soldiers will help secure the Russian-occupied territories in Ukraine and participate in major offensives. Russia also has the capability to arm and equip these troops.
