IAEA chief will no longer be allowed entry into Iran : Iran’s Foreign Minister

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has announced that Rafael Mariano Grossi, head of the UN’s nuclear watchdog (IAEA), will no longer be allowed to enter Iran.At the same time, the agency has also been informed that it will not be permitted to install surveillance cameras at Iranian nuclear facilities. This information was reported by Anadolu Agency on Sunday (June 29).Quoting the state news agency IRNA, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said:“We will not allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to install any cameras at our nuclear centers. The agency’s Director General Rafael Grossi will also remain banned from entering Iran.”This decision comes at a time of rising tensions between Iran and the IAEA, particularly in the wake of recent Israeli and US attacks, which have sparked sharp disagreements over monitoring and transparency.Just a few days ago, Iran’s parliament passed a law suspending cooperation with the IAEA.Behind this decision lies the bloody conflict that began on June 13 and continued for 12 days. On that day, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran’s military, nuclear, and civilian installations. According to Iran’s Ministry of Health, at least 606 people were killed and 5,332 were injured.In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks on Israel. According to information from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, at least 29 people were killed and more than 3,400 were injured.Finally, from June 24, a ceasefire between the two countries was implemented through US mediation.
