Iran to Respect Ceasefire Declared by Trump

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that his country will respect the ceasefire declared by U.S. President Donald Trump.During a phone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, he said, “If Israel does not violate the ceasefire, Iran will also not break it.”President Masoud Pezeshkian added that the people of Iran have once again shown that despite facing problems and grievances, they remain united against enemy aggression.Meanwhile, following Trump’s ceasefire announcement, some Iranian officials have started celebrating it as a “victory” despite the complex situation.Iran’s Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said, “This ‘victory’ proves that Iran has shattered the arrogance of the United States and the Western world in the region and demonstrated Iran’s strength to them.”Mahdi Mohammadi, a close associate of Iranian Parliament Speaker and former IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) commander Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, called the ceasefire declaration a “great, historic victory” and celebrated it. In a post on social media platform X, he wrote, “A new era has begun.”
