Another commander of Iran’s military has been killed in an airstrike by the Israeli Air Force (IAF). The deceased commander is Brigadier General Saeed Izhadi.He was killed on Friday in an Israeli air raid in the capital, Tehran. Saeed Izhadi was the head of the Quds Force’s Palestine Corps, a division of Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).The news of Brigadier General Saeed Izhadi’s death has been confirmed by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Lieutenant General Ya’al Zamir.In a statement, Ya’al Zamir said, “Saeed Izhadi was the head of the IRGC Quds Force’s Palestinian Corps unit. His main task was to maintain contact with Yahya Sinwar, former head of Hamas in Gaza, and Mohammad Deif, the military chief of the group, and to issue them directives.”“He was one of the planners behind the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. He has the blood of thousands of Israelis on his hands.”It is worth noting that with this airstrike on Friday night, the total number of Iranian commanders reportedly killed by Israeli forces now stands at three. The other two are Brigadier General Amin Pour Johdi and Brigadier General Behnam Shariyari.
