Trump Issues New Message on Planned US Attack on Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has responded to a report by The Wall Street Journal claiming he approved plans for a U.S. military strike on Iran. Trump stated that the Wall Street Journal has “no idea” about his thoughts on Iran.Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that former President Donald Trump had approved a plan for the U.S. military to launch a strike on Iran. However, the report noted that a final decision has been put on hold, as Trump hopes Iran will step back from its nuclear program.In response to the report, Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social, saying, “The Wall Street Journal knows nothing about my thinking on Iran!”A similar report was published on Wednesday by CBS News, the U.S. media partner of the BBC, suggesting Trump was considering military action against Iran.Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has urged Donald Trump to refrain from military action against Iran. He warned that there is a “high risk of escalation” in this conflict.Prime Minister Starmer has also called on all parties involved in the Iran-Israel conflict to seek a diplomatic solution. He said, “There have already been several rounds of talks with the United States, and in my opinion, that is the way to resolve this crisis.”On the other hand, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to meet with the foreign ministers of the UK, France, and Germany tomorrow (Friday) in Geneva. According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, he is also scheduled to meet with Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.Following widespread discussion on social media regarding the Iranian delegation’s meeting with European foreign ministers, Abbas Araghchi confirmed the matter in an interview.
