The Voice News: The White House has called on Iran to abandon its nuclear weapons program in order to achieve peace. A senior U.S. official stated that if Tehran is willing to shut down the program, there is still an opportunity for a peaceful resolution.According to Anadolu Agency, as tensions between Israel and Iran escalate rapidly, a top White House official said on Saturday that a peaceful outcome is still possible if Iran is open to dialogue.In a statement to Turkey’s Anadolu news agency, the official said:“What is happening today can no longer be stopped. But we still believe a peaceful resolution is possible — if Iran shows interest in negotiations.”He added:“The fastest path to peace is for Iran to completely abandon its nuclear weapons program.”Meanwhile, nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran have been canceled. Oman’s Foreign Minister confirmed that the sixth round of planned indirect talks — scheduled for Sunday in Muscat — has been called off.Earlier, at dawn on Friday, Israel launched major airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities and reportedly killed top Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists. In retaliation, Iran launched ballistic missiles and drones targeting multiple Israeli sites.U.S. President Donald Trump had previously warned:“To prevent further attacks, Iran must accept the nuclear deal.”
