The state-run news agency Tasnim reported around midnight on Saturday (June 14) that “multiple explosions” were heard in the city shortly before.In a video published by Tasnim News, plumes of black smoke can be seen rising from a building or infrastructure. It is still unclear whether the explosions were caused by an Israeli attack.Shortly after the explosions, a journalist from AFP reported seeing smoke rising from the Mehrabad Airport airbase in Tehran. At that time, a large fire was visible.A video published by ISNA (Iranian Students News Agency) also shows massive plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky. Another agency, Mehr News, reported that the explosions occurred near the airport.It is being speculated that Israel may have launched a fresh wave of attacks on Iran early Saturday.
