The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has frozen the bank accounts of 17 individuals linked to ISKCON Bangladesh. This includes Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, a prominent ISKCON leader and Hindu religious figure.
The freeze follows his recent arrest on charges of sedition after leading protests advocating for the rights of minorities in Bangladesh. The action has sparked controversy, with Indian leaders and organizations expressing concern over the treatment of Hindu minority representatives in Bangladesh .

Among those named is former ISKCON leader Chandan Kumar Dhar, also known as Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari. The other individuals listed include Kartik Chandra Dey, Anik Pal, Soroj Roy, Sushanta Das, Biswha Kumar Singha, Chandidas Bala, Jaydev Karmakar, Lipi Rani Karmakar, Sudhama Gaur Das, Lakkhan Kanti Das, Priyatosh Das, Rupan Das, Rupan Kumar Dhar, Ashish Purohit, Jagadish Chandra Adhikari, and Sajal Das.
According to the BFIU directive, all types of transactions in the bank accounts of these individuals will be suspended for 30 days.
