US President Donald Trump has said the United States is producing more “elite and sophisticated weapons” than at any other time in its history, with newly manufactured systems being delivered daily to American forces deployed in the Middle East and other regions.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he had recently received a report indicating that US arms factories were operating around the clock to meet growing demand.
He also claimed that defence companies were each building four to five new large-scale manufacturing facilities as part of the expansion.
According to Trump, much of the increased production is focused on advanced missile and air-defence systems, including Patriot and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems, as well as Tomahawk cruise missiles.
Trump said the United States already has a “huge stockpile” of these advanced missile systems.
His remarks come as Washington maintains a significant military presence in the Middle East amid heightened regional tensions and growing demand for advanced air-defence and precision-strike capabilities.
