Arson Attack Targets Shakib Al Hasan’s Home in Bangladesh; Petrol Bombs Explode

Magura, Bangladesh, Aug. 5: The residence of Bangladesh cricket icon Shakib Al Hasan in Magura was reportedly targeted in an arson attack on Wednesday night, according to local police.

The incident occurred at around 8:45 p.m. local time when unidentified assailants allegedly set fire to the property. During the attack, two petrol bombs exploded, causing damage to the house and shattering several glass windows.

Officer-in-Charge Abdullah Al Mamun of Magura Sadar Police Station confirmed the incident. Police officers reached the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m. to begin an investigation.
Authorities said no one was inside the residence at the time of the attack, and no injuries have been reported.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear. Police are investigating the incident and working to identify those responsible.
