US Urges Citizens in Middle East to Leave Amid Rising Tensions

Date:

The United States has advised its citizens across the Middle East to remain on high alert and be prepared to leave the region if security conditions worsen, following renewed threats by President Donald Trump against Iran.

US embassies in Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates issued coordinated security alerts, warning Americans of the possibility of rapidly changing conditions amid fears of a broader regional conflict.

The advisory urged US citizens to prepare for possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and other travel disruptions. Travelers were also encouraged to monitor updates from airlines and airports and consider leaving the region if they believe conditions could deteriorate further.

The warning came after Trump said the United States would respond “very strongly” if ongoing diplomatic efforts with Iran fail. He also accused Tehran of breaking commitments and providing misleading information, saying he had lost confidence in the negotiations.

In Israel, the US Embassy advised American citizens to identify the nearest bomb shelter and remain alert to emergency instructions. In Jordan, US nationals were urged to avoid areas near military facilities that have previously been targeted by Iranian missile attacks.

The US State Department also recommended that Americans outside the Middle East reconsider travel plans involving the region until the security situation becomes clearer.

The travel alerts reflect growing concerns that tensions between the United States and Iran could escalate further, increasing risks for civilians and international travel across the Middle East.
