Chinese Embassy Urges Citizens to Leave Israel ‘As Soon As Possible’

Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the Chinese Embassy in Israel has urged its citizens to leave the country “as soon as possible.”In a statement posted on WeChat on Tuesday (June 17), the embassy said, “The Chinese mission in Israel reminds all citizens to leave the country via land borders as soon as possible, based on the precondition of ensuring their personal safety.”The embassy also advised citizens to head toward Jordan, noting that the conflict is intensifying, with significant damage to civilian infrastructure, rising civilian casualties, and a deteriorating security situation.Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has convened an emergency meeting with his national security team in the White House Situation Room. Trump had been attending the G7 Summit in Canada but is cutting the trip short to return home amid the crisis.
