At Least 128 Killed, 900 Injured in Israeli Strikes on Iran

At least 128 people have been killed and more than 900 injured in Israeli airstrikes on Iran, according to reports from Iranian media. The casualties occurred by Saturday afternoon, as attacks continued across various parts of the country.However, Iranian agencies and news outlets have reported varying figures regarding the casualties from the Israeli strikes. British media noted that it could not independently verify the information provided by Iranian sources.Earlier, Iran’s state television reported that at least 60 people had been killed in a single attack on a building in Tehran, with 20 of the victims being children. The governor of East Azerbaijan province stated that 31 people had died there, including 30 members of the Iranian military and one Iranian Red Crescent worker.The Iranian Red Crescent also reported that an Israeli strike targeted an ambulance in West Azerbaijan province, killing two medical staff on board.Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations said two days ago that 78 people had been killed and more than 320 injured in Israeli attacks.Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that at least 30 women and children had been killed over the past three days, though she did not provide a total death toll.Senior officials in Iran’s armed forces confirmed that at least 18 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were among the dead, including a commander from the IRGC’s Aerospace Force.Additionally, separate attacks in various regions of Iran reportedly killed at least 14 nuclear scientists.
