Pakistan Accuses Indian Proxies of Orchestrating Terror Attacks in BalochistanIslamabad

Date:

, July 12, 2025 — Pakistan has formally accused Indian-backed proxies of carrying out recent terror attacks in Balochistan, including a brutal assault on a passenger bus that left nine civilians dead. The allegations were made by Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan during a weekly press briefing, where he outlined Islamabad’s concerns over India’s alleged destabilizing activities in the region.
Khan claimed that India is actively interfering in Balochistan to foment unrest and instability, and that Pakistan has raised the issue at multiple international forums to expose what it describes as “state-sponsored terrorism.” He reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance against terrorism and emphasized that no Pakistani leader, including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has made any conflicting statements on the matter.
The spokesman also condemned ongoing human rights violations in Indian-administered Kashmir, calling attention to decades of suffering endured by innocent civilians. “Pakistan will continue to advocate for the rights of Kashmiris and highlight these abuses globally,” Khan said.
The press briefing followed a harrowing attack in Zhob’s Dabb Sarha Dokki area, where terrorists stopped a bus, identified passengers, and executed nine individuals from Punjab province. The bodies were later handed over to the DG Khan administration near the Punjab-Balochistan border at Boatha. Authorities have registered a case under murder and anti-terrorism laws at Zhob’s Counter-Terrorism Department police station and launched a full-scale investigation.
Khan also addressed Pakistan’s foreign relations, reaffirming the country’s close ties with China and clarifying that its policy on Taiwan remains unchanged. He noted Pakistan’s interest in joining the BRICS group but declined to comment on recent developments or speculation surrounding membership.
The attack has reignited national security concerns and prompted renewed calls for regional stability. Pakistani officials have vowed to intensify counterterrorism efforts and bring the perpetrators to justice.
