The Voice News: U.S. President Donald Trump has said he is “not happy” with Russian President Vladimir Putin following Russia’s largest air assault on Ukraine to date. Speaking to reporters on Sunday night in New Jersey, Trump referred to Putin as “insane,” according to a report by the BBC.
Trump remarked, “What’s wrong with him? He’s killing so many people.”
He added, “I’ve known him for a long time and always had a good relationship with him. But now he’s launching rockets into cities and killing people — I don’t like that at all.”
Shortly afterward, Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating that Putin has “gone completely insane.”
Trump further said, “I’ve always said he wants the whole of Ukraine, not just a part of it. Maybe that’s what’s being proven. But if he goes through with it, it will lead to Russia’s downfall.”
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Washington’s silence regarding recent Russian attacks is encouraging Putin. Zelensky called for increased pressure and stronger sanctions against Moscow.
In response, Trump also made strong remarks about Zelensky. “The way he speaks is not helping his country,” Trump said.
He added, “Everything that comes out of his mouth causes problems. I don’t like it, and it should stop.”
On Sunday night, Russia launched 367 drones and missiles across Ukraine, killing at least 12 people and injuring many others. It was the largest single-night assault since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.
Early Monday morning, air raid sirens were heard again in multiple regions across Ukraine, signaling more drone and missile threats.
