KUWAIT CITY, June 3, 2026 — Four Bangladeshi nationals were injured in a drone attack at Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, according to the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kuwait. Several other foreign nationals were also wounded, while one person was reported killed in the incident.
In a statement, the embassy said the attack occurred amid the ongoing regional crisis in West Asia, which has seen repeated drone and missile incidents in Kuwait’s airspace in recent weeks.
The injured Bangladeshis were admitted to Farwaniya Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. The embassy said it is maintaining regular contact with hospital authorities and closely monitoring the condition of the victims.
The Bangladesh Embassy has urged Bangladeshi citizens residing in Kuwait to remain cautious and follow all safety instructions issued by local authorities.
The statement also reminded expatriates that, under Kuwaiti law, taking photographs or recording videos of rocket or drone attacks, as well as interception operations, is a punishable offense.
Bangladeshi nationals were advised not to capture or share such images or videos on social media.
Meanwhile, the embassy noted that Kuwait’s Central Blood Bank is facing a shortage of blood supplies.
It called on eligible Bangladeshi expatriates to donate blood and encourage others to do the same in support of those affected by the recent violence.
The incident highlights growing concerns over the spillover effects of regional conflicts, which continue to pose security risks across the Gulf region.
