England Crush Croatia 7-0 in Nations League

- October 05, 2026, 04:03 AM ET

England delivered one of their most emphatic performances in recent international football, thrashing Croatia 7-0 in Rijeka on Saturday in the UEFA Nations League.

Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka were all on target as England overwhelmed the hosts from the outset.

Kane and Saka each scored twice and also registered an assist, while Bellingham scored once and played a key role in three of England’s goals. Gordon added a goal and an assist.

Substitute Morgan Rogers completed the rout late in the match, sealing a remarkable seven-goal victory for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The result moved England into second place in Group A3. A victory over the Czech Republic on Wednesday would put the Three Lions in a strong position to reach the quarter-finals in March.

The match was played behind closed doors as Croatia were serving a UEFA punishment over racist behaviour by supporters during a 2025 match against France. More than 6,000 schoolchildren, however, were allowed to attend the game.

The young spectators witnessed a heavy defeat for the home side as England produced a commanding display in Rijeka
