Real Madrid have completed the signing of 19-year-old Ivorian forward Iyan Diomande from RB Leipzig for a club-record fixed transfer fee of €125 million, with performance-related bonuses potentially taking the total value of the deal to €140 million.
The transfer surpasses the Spanish giants’ previous record outlay on a player. In 2023, Real Madrid signed Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth up to €127 million, although the guaranteed fee was €103 million, with the remainder tied to performance-based add-ons.
Before Diomande’s arrival, Eden Hazard ranked as the club’s most expensive player in terms of guaranteed transfer fee after joining from Chelsea for €115 million in 2019.
Diomande’s €125 million fixed fee now stands as the highest guaranteed transfer payment in Real Madrid’s history, underlining the club’s long-term investment in one of football’s brightest young talents.
