His name is Shubhangshu Shukla, and he is the second person from India to travel into space.Previously, in 1984, Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian to go into space. According to a report by Zee News Bangla, Shukla is the second person.On June 25, he began his space journey aboard a Falcon 9 rocket launched from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.This mission is being conducted as a joint initiative between NASA (the American space agency) and ISRO (India’s space agency).Shubhangshu Shukla is a Group Captain in the Indian Air Force. His space mission will last for 14 days. Although NASA and ISRO are fully funding the mission, Shubhangshu will not receive any special or personal remuneration.It has been learned that NASA and ISRO are jointly spending approximately 5.48 billion rupees (548 crore rupees) for this ongoing mission. This includes expenses for space training, launch systems, and Shubhangshu Shukla’s research work.Through this mission, Shubhangshu Shukla is not only achieving personal success but also further elevating India’s name on the international map of space research. Analysts believe that his mission will open new possibilities for India’s future space exploration efforts.
