Emma Raducanu Praises Wimbledon for Blocking Alleged Stalker

British tennis star Emma Raducanu has commended Wimbledon organizers for successfully preventing an alleged stalker from attending this year’s tournament. The man, who had followed Raducanu to at least four international tournaments earlier in 2025, attempted to purchase tickets to Wimbledon but was identified and blocked by the All England Club’s security system.Raducanu, currently ranked No. 38 in the world, revealed that she was informed by the police that the individual had been stopped. “Wimbledon and everyone did an amazing job,” she told BBC Sport. “I got a notification, and the police contacted me to confirm everything was okay.”The tennis star has previously spoken about the emotional toll of being stalked. At the Dubai Tennis Championships in March, Raducanu said she was so distraught upon spotting the man that she could “barely breathe” and couldn’t see the ball through her tears.
