Fearing Iranian Retaliation, Israelis Stockpile Food and Water

The Voice News:Amid fears that Iran may launch a retaliatory strike in response to Israel’s attack on Tehran, food and water supplies are rapidly disappearing from supermarkets in Jerusalem, as people rush to stockpile essentials.At around 3 AM last night, Israeli citizens were awakened by blaring sirens and emergency alerts on their mobile phones.The government warned that the nation faces a “serious threat,” urging everyone to remain close to designated shelters.Israel’s emergency services have announced that blood donation drives are being ramped up across the country. Hospitals have begun discharging patients who are well enough to return home to make room for potential casualties.Meanwhile, a lockdown has been imposed on all Palestinian cities in the West Bank until further notice.These emergency measures are being taken in anticipation of possible retaliatory attacks. The Israeli military has confirmed that around 100 drones have already been launched from Iran toward Israel.However, Israeli media reports claim that all the incoming Iranian drones were successfully intercepted and shot down.The Home Front Command—previously responsible for issuing shelter-related alerts—has since announced that there is no longer a need for citizens to remain near shelters.Nevertheless, the public has been advised to stay alert and cautious.
