In a message posted on social media early Friday, Trump wrote, “There has already been massive loss of life and destruction. But there is still time to stop this carnage. Because the next attack will be even more devastating.” The U.S. news outlet Politico reported this warning.On Thursday night, Israel carried out attacks targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, military bases, top scientists, and government officials. An Israeli military spokesperson stated that in retaliation, Iran launched over 100 drones. The escalation has raised fears of a large-scale new war in the Middle East.Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Friday, “The Zionist regime has brought upon itself a painful and severe consequence.”Trump accused Iran of failing to seize multiple opportunities to end its nuclear program and strike a deal during his administration.
