Ukraine Launches Drone Barrage on Moscow as Zelenskyy Demands Accountability for Putin

The Voice News: LONDON – At least 10 Ukrainian drones were shot down as they approached Moscow overnight, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. The incident prompted temporary flight restrictions at two of the capital’s airports.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that a total of 67 Ukrainian drones were intercepted across the country. Emergency teams responded to the sites where debris from the drones fell.

In the southern Tula region, a drone strike targeted the Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, sparking a fire and injuring two people, regional governor Dmitry Milyaev confirmed via Telegram. He noted that the situation is now under control.

Ukraine’s Counter-Disinformation Center head, Andriy Kovalenko, highlighted the strategic nature of the Azot plant, noting it manufactures explosives like TNT, used in artillery shells and missiles.

Meanwhile, Russian forces continued their own overnight assaults, launching 49 drones and three missiles into Ukraine. Ukraine’s air force stated it successfully neutralized 40 of those drones.

The intensifying drone warfare comes amid renewed calls from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the international community to hold Russian President Vladimir Putin accountable for ongoing aggression.
