Loomer, GOP Senator Push Back on Trump’s NASA Nomination Reversal

The Voice News:Conservative commentator Laura Loomer and Republican Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana are criticizing the White House’s decision to withdraw the nomination of tech entrepreneur Jared Isaacman as NASA Administrator.

Loomer, posting on social media platform X on Saturday, claimed, “A well-placed source tells me Jared Isaacman’s nomination to be the next Administrator of @NASA was set for a final Senate confirmation vote early next week, but DC insiders are now trying to convince the @WhiteHouse to pull the plug on Isaacman before his confirmation vote.”
She further suggested the decision might be politically motivated: “There is reason to believe that Isaacman may be facing retaliation because of his friendship with @elonmusk.”

A spokesperson from the White House told The Hill, “It is essential that the next leader of NASA fully aligns with President Trump’s America First agenda. A new nominee will be announced by President Trump soon.”

Senator Sheehy expressed his support for Isaacman in a post on X, calling him “a strong choice by President Trump to lead NASA.” He added, “I was proud to introduce Jared at his hearing and strongly oppose efforts to derail his nomination.”

President Trump had initially announced Isaacman’s nomination in December, describing him as “ideally suited to lead NASA into a bold new era,” highlighting his background as an astronaut and successful businessman.
