Israeli President Flees Stadium with Wife After Yemeni Missile Attack

The Voice News: Israeli media have reported that President Isaac Herzog and his wife swiftly fled a stadium following a missile attack from Yemen.

According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the incident occurred on Thursday during a football match between Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Be’er Sheva. As the game was underway, sirens suddenly blared due to a missile strike from Yemen, prompting President Herzog and his wife to evacuate the stadium immediately.

Following the attack, the match—part of the Israeli football competition “Israel Cup”—was suspended for the night.

Meanwhile, Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, Secretary-General of Yemen’s Houthi-led Ansarullah movement, stated that Zionist Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza for over 600 days. He warned that their next phase of operations in support of Gaza would be even more effective.

He further asserted on Thursday that no matter how severe Israel’s retaliation may be, the Yemeni people’s support for the Palestinian people will remain unchanged.

According to Mehr News Agency, the Ansarullah leader elaborated on the campaign, saying: “This week, we launched 14 missiles and drones deep into occupied Israel. These strikes targeted Israeli positions in Jaffa, Haifa, Ashkelon, and Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat). We have also cut off Israeli forces’ aid via the Red Sea, where Israeli enemy ships are now banned from operating.”

In a related development, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed in a statement that a missile attack had been launched on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport.

He claimed the attack was successful, leading to the suspension of operations at Ben Gurion Airport and forcing millions of Israelis to take shelter.

Meanwhile, Nasruddin Amer, Deputy Information Officer of the Ansarullah movement, declared in a statement that Ben Gurion Airport is no longer safe. He warned that Yemeni military operations would continue targeting the airport.

Amer advised all foreign airlines to avoid Ben Gurion Airport for the safety of their passengers and crew, unless Israel ends its assault and blockade on Gaza.
